THE BRIEF.
The Coffee Bar is a Birmingham based coffee shop, renowned for its hospitality and consistently providing an exceptional experience for all customers. I began working with The Coffee Bar in June of last year as a graphic designer and have since worked on a variety of projects including social media strategy and branded pitch decks.
WHAT WE DID.
One of my most notable projects included the development of a summer advert to attract tourists in Birmingham for the Commonwealth games. This involved conceptualising, creating the copy and designing two adverts - one print and one digital. I have also had the opportunity to design roller banners, flyers, seasonal menus and coffee cups (my recent favourite) over the past 9 months.
I also had the opportunity to create a pitch deck for the Coffee Bar. My role was to communicate the values of the Coffee Bar brand, their story so far and design an aesthetically pleasing and engaging presentation for a potential partnership/new location opportunity. Whilst it is slightly different to my usual projects, it allowed me to practice my presentation design skills and my ability to persuade/sell an idea and communicate a brand.
Recently, I've begun a new role at the Coffee Bar which involves me coming up with and overseeing social strategy and design assets. In my short time in this role, we have so far implemented engaging content ideas such as a Coffee themed springtime playlist to allow followers to get a better idea of The Coffee Bar's personality. We look forward to further elevating the social media in months to come.
OUTCOMES.
The Coffee Bar's brand and visuals are continuing to become more cohesive and recognisable. They have been able to establish an identity that is clearly recognisable and that most stakeholders will be familiar with by consistently providing high quality branding and communicating their personality and values.
